Salesperson
Global Financial Data (GFD) specializes in providing Financial and Economic Data that extends from the 1200s to present—beyond what traditional data vendors provide. GFD currently licenses its data to all the major banks, investment companies, universities and exchanges all over the world. GFD is currently seeking a Salesperson to sell its flag ship product, The GFDatabase, as well as a new analytics platform. The qualified person will have the following skills:
Skills Required:
• 5 years sales experience in finance or CFA
• Candidates must have an understanding of products such as Bloomberg, Reuters or Factset
• Extensive experience in selling to C-level executives and senior managers of top financial firms
• Negotiate high value on services to new clients and upsell exiting clients to new services
• Knowledge of economic and financial data and how they relate to both the markets in general and individual companies
• Ability to identify, pursue and close opportunities
• Attains sales targets and quotas on a monthly basis
• Well organized with the ability to multi-task
• Ability to succeed independently as well as in a team environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities
• Responsible for generating new sales and maximizing the growth of existing clients
• Partners with Account Managers to identify the sales opportunities within each account and determine the most appropriate sales strategy
• Identify client needs; demonstrate how our products can be improved and can benefit the clients.
• Provide WebEx demos to prospects and address client questions and concerns
• Attend tradeshows nationally and internationally
• Attend after hour networking mixers
• Ensure high level of client satisfaction

ASP.NET / C# Web Developers
Global Financial Data, Inc. seeks experienced Senior and Junior Web Developers to work in our San Juan Capistrano office. GFD, a provider of financial information, is building a new analytical software platform that will produce long term charts, graphs, and other tools from our vast financial database. We have seen an increase in sales and profits over the last 15 years. We anticipate this new analytical platform will be highly successful. We are seeking bright developers to join our winning team. REQUIRED PROGRAMMING SKILLS
• 2+ years of experience in ASP.NET Web Application (Visual Studio 2010, 2008 or 2005)
• C# in code behind and objected-oriented design
• JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, HTML, and XML
• Database driven web applications
• MySQL or Microsoft SQL Database Servers
• Pro-actively discover and resolve potential software problems
OPTIONAL SKILLS
• Experience with ascx control and master page, as well as JQuery
• Experience with third party charting DLL (displaying bar charts, moving average curves) preferably Chart FX
• Multi-thread coding in C# class library and DLL library
• Stored procedures and SQL programming
• Optimizing SQL query performance in database or profiling in Visual Studio environment
• Web Service – asmx and WCF in Visual Studio
DUTIES
Create and maintain web pages that users can search, make selections in the search results, view data and charts, compare data and charts, download data for an analytical web application
